Niagara Falls, February 15th - 20th 2013

From february 15^th - 20^th I was on a long weekend to Niagara Falls, Canada to see Band From TV, who I saw in Niagara Falls for the first time in february 2012. I had looked forward to this trip for a while, Besides seeing the wonderful boys of Band From TV I also was going to meet with a bunch of people who I had chatted with online.

Friday, February 15^th 2013

I had a long trip a head of me february 15^th since I first had to leave from Aarhus (Tirstrup) airport at 8.35 am to Copenhagen (Kastrup) airport. From there I was going to Washington, where I had about 6½ hours layover. That was a long time, when you were traveling on your own. The last flight I had to take was to Buffalo. When I arrived there, I had to travel by taxi to my hotel on the canadian side of Niagara Falls. When I finally had checked in it was around midnight local time and I went to bed.

Saturday, February 16^th 2013

When I woke up next morning I went down and got some breakfast. Later I wrote to one of the people I was going to meet if we could meet. That we could so I got myself ready and went over the place we were going to meet. There I met Kat (Canada), Amanda (Britain), Simona (Czech Republic), Jaime (USA) and Heather (Canada) & Lisa (Canada) who I had met in 2012. Later I also met Chery (Canada) who I also met in 2012.

When we were done there we played tourists for a while in Niagara Falls. Some people had seen the famous falls yet.

When we we done playing tourists we went out to dinner. I met Tracy (Canada). After that we went our seperate ways to get ready for the first of the 3 concerts with Band From TV,

The concert started at 9.00 pm. and it lasted for about 2 hours. When the band came on stage I started to laugh a little bit since Adrian Pasdar was wearing a red t-shirt and jeans like overalls. And I immediately thought of a danish singer who in a period in the early 80's wore something similar. He did go teased by band for wearing them.

In the middle of the concert Scott Grimes and Bob Guiney sang a medley which made the Bryan Adams part of me happy. Because the medley started and ended with ”Cut's like a knife” And off course the audience had sing along to the ”Na-na-na-na” part.

When the concert was over our group found each other since we had sat in different places and then we went to a bar and enjoyed ourselves.

I talked a little bit to Bob Guiney who asked what I thought about the show. I told him it was a great show and that they had made a Bryan Adams very happy.

When we had been there for a while we thought it was about time that we left so that we did. I said goodnight to the other and went back to my hotel and went to bed.

Sunday, February 17^th 2013

Sunday became a day of relaxtion for me. After having breakfast I went back to my hotelroom and relaxed for a bit and watched som tv. A little after noon I contacted Kat to hear if I could join them at their room which I could. I eate a late lunch with Kat and Chery. Later we met with the others and enjoyed ourself for a bit before heading to concert number 2.

The concert started at 7.00 pm. and it lasted also for about 2 hours. That concert was probably the best of the 3 concerts. You could really feel the energy from all the boys and you could see how much they enjoyed it.

The Bryan Adams part of me became more happy this night since Scott in addtion to singing ”Cut's like a knife” he also sang a little bit of ”Summer of 69”.

This night Kat was brought onstage to touch Adrian Pasdar's biceps and James Denton asked her to sing a line from the song ”Pink Cadillac” That she did brilliantly.

After the concert was done our group found each other again since we had sat in different places again. We went to the bar again. After while beeing there both Scott Grimes and Bob Guiney comes up to us and sits down to talk with us. At some point it was suggested that Scott & Bob and the europeans should have taken a picture together. So both Amanda, Simona and I got to the postions with Bob & Scott and there was pictures taken. People where really enjoying themselves this night. I suggested Kat that since we both are Bob fans that we should get picture taken together with Bob. She totally agreed to do it. And the result is 2 good pictures of 3 of us.

When people started to leave the bar I decided to go back to my hotel and go to bed.

Monday, February 18^th 2013

Monday was the day for the last concert with Band From TV. And that most of our small group was leaving after today's concert.

Before our group lunch we were walking around the resort and we ran into Bob and his parents. We said hello and talked to them. Bob's mom asked where we were from. She and Bob's dad where a little surprised when they found out there was 3 europeans there. Then Bob then subsequently said we were "his" europeans. When we left them we got some lunch.

Next it was time to the last of the 3 concerts with Band From TV. It started at 3.00 pm. It lasted somewhere between 1½ – 2 hours. You could feel that they were tired. But they still have everything they had in them this afternoon.

The best about this particular concert for me was when I danced with Greg Grunberg under the number ”She caught the katy" It was the 2nd year in a row I danced with him since I danced with him during the same number in 2012. When the concert was done the band was quick to get off stage since they had to leave right away. When our little group was together again we stood and talked to Bob parents again. Bob's mom thanked us europeans for coming all the way to see the concerts and wished us a good and safe trip home.

When we left we hanged around the resort before going back to one of the rooms. A little later people started to say their goodbyes or rather saying see you later. In the end it was Jaime and I who left. We had to go home tuesday. She tuesday morning and me tuesday evening. We went out for dinner and talked for a while before saying our goodbyes and went our seperate ways. When I came to my hotelroom I packed my things and relaxed before going to bed.

Tuesday, February 19^th 2013 and wednesday, February 20^th 2013

Tuesday morning I went up and got breakfast. Was at my hotelroom until I had to check out at 11. am. After I had checked out I did some tourist things and lunch before I went back to the hotel and waited for the taxi which was driving me to the airport in Buffalo. I was in the airport a couple hours before plane took off so I relaxed for a bit before we started boarding. The plane headed for Chicago. From Chicago I was headed to Copenhagen. And from Copenhagen I was headed to Aarhus. When I arrived with plane to Aarhus I was picked up by my parents who drove me home. So I was back at my place wednesday february 20^th around 4.30 pm CET, where I unpacked my things.

Overall the best weekend ever! I really have enjoyed the trip and have enjoyed the wonderful company I have had the 4 days in Fallsview, Niagara Falls. Can't wait until we can do it again. And I am grateful for all the new friendships I have gotten! And a thank you to the wonderful boys in Band From TV who are so down to earth and have a heart of gold!
