Band From TV, Fallsview Casino Resort – Niagara Falls, February 19th & 20th 2012

I was really looking forward to see Band From TV. I was going to see them on the 19th and 20th 2012.

February 19th
About an hour before the show Izumi and I finally met after a long time chatting online. We went for a drink before going to the theater. BFTV was going to start at 7.00 pm. The concert was a sitting down type of a concert. We found our seats and waited for the concert to start. There was a strict no photo taking under the concert. So I couldn't take any pictures during the concert.
The concert started exactly at 7.00 pm.
The Band From TV for the 3 gigs in Fallsview were: Greg Grunberg on drums & vocal, Scott Grimes on keyboards & vocal, Bob Guiney on vocal, Jesse Spencer on violin & vocal, James Denton on guitar & vocal, Adrian Pasdar on guitar & vocal, Anthony Ruivivar on percussion and Teri Hatcher on vocal.

The setlist for the night was:
This is how a heart breaks
Mama told me not to come
Walking in Memphis
Who said you can't go home
Stuck like glue
Try a little tenderness
Pink Cadillac
John O'Reilly
Bitch
She caught the Katy
Don't try to explain
Man in the mirror
Devil went to Georgia
Oh Darling
Don't stop me now
Meet me at Mary's place
Raise your glass
Baba O'Reilly
I wish I knew (encore)

I didn't try to stand up for the concert even though there were times I felt like standing and rocking to the music instead of sitting. But I couldn't sit still on my seat so I was just rocking and sitting instead. ;)
I took myself thinking that if I didn't know they were a band from tv I would think they all were professional musicians. That's how good they played.
When Bob Guiney sang Don't try to explain it really touched my heart. I love that song and he sang it with such a great emotion that my heart melted.
They were just having a great time on that stage.
When Scott Grimes sang Oh Darling Bob was out giving roses to the audience just like he did when he was on the Bachelor.
After Scott Grimes was done with Oh Darling he sang Don't stop me now where he picked 2 women out to dance on stage with the guys.
Teri Hatcher was their guest singer. She was actually a very great singer. She sang Who said you can't go home a duet with Bob Guiney, Stuck like glue, Bitch and Raise your glass.
When there was about 3 songs left the security people left the stage area and people could stand in front of the stage if they wanted to. Both Izumi and I went up there. We both basically stood on front row. ;)
At one point Bob Guiney was looking down at the side were Izumi and I was standing and he was looking directly at me. Then suddenly I got eye contact with him and he realized who I was. It was funny to watch because you could actually see it in his face that he recognized me. :)
After the concert was done Izumi and was trying to figure out where we should go. We ended up at a bar. While we were there I suddenly saw Scott Grimes talking to some people and I said that to Izumi since she knows him. Izumi didn't know if we should go over to him or not. Then Scott recognized Izumi and waved us over. She said hi to him and then she introduced me to him telling him that I was from Denmark. Apparently it's something special when someone flies I don't how many miles to see a band. ;)
While we were at the bar I got to meet some of the other fans. It was nice meeting these new people and spending some time with them. A little later I got my picture taken with Scott. He is such a nice man who takes time to talk to his fans and even spends time with them. I also got my picture taken with Jesse Spencer. Later I finally got to meet Bob again and I got a new picture taken with him. He was just as nice as when I met him in LA in October 2011.
When the band had left the bar some of us took a little trip to the Casino just to look around. I didn't stay that long since I was tried and a little bit drunk. ;)
What happens in Niagara stays in Niagara.. ;)

February 20th
This day was the last of the 3 concerts Band From TV was going to play at the venue. They was going to play at 3.00 pm.
Izumi and I met up and we spent some time together before going to the venue. We found our seats and waited for the concert to begin. They started exactly at 3.00 pm.
The set list was the same as the day before, the 19th except they didn't play Mama told me not come, Don't stop me now and I wish I knew wasn't an encore this time. And Adrian Pasdar had already left.
This concert is the one I remember more fondly than the one on the 19th for a few reasons.
While Greg Grunberg was singing She caught the Katy he was picking out some women and I was actually the last one he picked out. So I got to dance with Greg Grunberg. He lead me up in front of the stage where the other 2 women was dancing and we all danced. Then Greg left us and headed back up to the stage. We kept dancing and after a while James Denton actually got down from the stage and danced along side of us. Then suddenly he wanted us to come with him on to the stage which we did. And we danced there until the song was over. Then we went back to our seats. When I came back to my seat the guy that was sitting next to me asked if it was fun. And I told him yes.
After James Denton was done singing Meet me at Mary's place the security people once again left the area in front of the stage and Izumi & I again went up front and stood on front row. ;) Teri Hatcher came on stage and she sometimes went down to shook hands with some of the people who were standing. And she came over to the side where Izumi and I was standing and I actually got to shake her hand.
At this particular concert I was a little sad, that we couldn't take pictures since I don't have any pictures of me dancing with the guys...But I still have the memory of it. :D
We didn't meet the band after the concert since all them was pretty exhausted and went directly to the airport after the concert.
I had a great time at both concerts. And even though they at this time only do concerts in the US and Canada this isn't the last time I've seen them. :D
